Twitter is now X, but the videos are the same. This downloader supports both x.com and twitter.com URLs and returns every MP4 quality the post exposes — usually 1080p, 720p and 480p when the original was uploaded in HD.

Only publicly accessible posts work. We don't store the videos and we don't ask for your account. The download happens directly between your browser and X's media servers.

How to use it

  1. Copy the post link

    Open the Twitter or X post that contains the video. Tap the Share icon and choose "Copy link", or copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

  2. Paste it on saveXclip

    Paste the link into the input above and tap Download. saveXclip reads the post's media and lists every available MP4 quality.

Is this free?

Yes. There is no fee, no account, and no install.

Which links work?

Any public post URL on x.com, twitter.com or mobile.twitter.com that contains a video or GIF. Profile pages and protected accounts won't work.

Why are some videos missing?

If the post is from a protected account, was deleted, or contains only photos, no MP4 will be available.

Do you store the videos?

No. The download link points directly to X's media CDN and is generated on demand. We don't keep copies.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. On iPhone, save the MP4 from the Files app or use the share sheet to send it to Photos. On Android, the file lands in Downloads.

Why are there multiple quality options?

X serves videos in several bitrates — typically 1080p, 720p and 480p. We list every variant the post exposes so you can pick the size you need.

Is it legal?

Downloading public content for personal use is generally fine, but you are responsible for respecting copyright and X's terms. Don't republish someone else's video without permission.
