Instagram Video Downloader
Paste a public Instagram Reel or post link below and download the video as MP4 — no login, no app, no signup.
Working
It works with any public Instagram link — Reels, feed videos, and IGTV. Paste the link and you get a clean MP4 back, served straight from Instagram.
We pull the same source file Instagram serves to its embedded players — no re-encoding, no quality loss, no watermark added by us. The Reel arrives at your device exactly as the creator uploaded it.
Only public posts work. Private accounts and stories aren't accessible to anyone without a login, and we don't bypass that. If a post returns no result, it's either private, deleted, or the URL is malformed.
How to use it
-
Copy the Instagram link
Open the Reel or post on Instagram. Tap the three dots above the post and choose "Copy link". On desktop, copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
-
Paste it on saveXclip
Paste the link into the input above and tap Download. saveXclip resolves the source MP4 — no login, no app required.
-
Save the MP4
Tap Download next to the variant. The MP4 is delivered straight from Instagram's CDN — no re-encoding, no quality loss.
FAQ
Is this free?
Yes. No fee, no account, no install.
Which Instagram URLs work?
Public Reels (`/reel/<code>` or `/reels/<code>`), feed posts (`/p/<code>`) and IGTV (`/tv/<code>`). Stories, private accounts, and DMs are not supported because they're not public.
Does it work for Instagram Reels?
Yes — Reels are the most common case. Both `/reel/<code>` and `/reels/<code>` URL formats resolve to the same Reel and both work.
Why are some posts missing?
Private accounts, deleted posts, and posts where the carousel only contains photos won't return a video. We don't bypass privacy settings.
Do you store the videos?
No. The MP4 link points directly to Instagram's CDN and is generated on demand. We don't keep copies.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. On iPhone, save the MP4 from Files or share it to Photos. On Android, the file lands in Downloads.
Is it legal?
Downloading public content for personal use is generally fine, but you are responsible for respecting copyright and Instagram's terms. Don't republish someone else's content as your own.
