Privacy Policy

This page explains what data saveXclip collects when you use the service, and what we do with it. We keep it short on purpose.

What we collect

When you use the downloader, our servers receive the basic data your browser sends with any web request: your IP address (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention), the link you submit, your browser's user-agent string, and a timestamp.

These records are kept for up to 7 days and then deleted automatically. They are stored on Cloudflare's servers; Cloudflare may retain its own logs in line with its own policy.

What we don't collect

We don't require an account, an email address, or any personal identifier. We don't set our own tracking cookies. We don't link your activity to a profile, and we don't sell data to anyone.

Third parties

To find the media in a public post, we pass the post's public identifier to third-party extraction services, which differ depending on the platform. Those services receive only the post identifier and return media information — not your IP address or browser identifier.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which acts as the content delivery network and runtime.

Cookies

The site doesn't set any cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set technical cookies for security and abuse protection. If we ever add anything that involves cookies, this page will be updated and a consent banner will appear where required.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR give you rights over your personal data, including access, correction, erasure, and objection. In practice there is very little data tied to you: we don't require an account, and the short-lived IP log is deleted automatically within 7 days.

Changes

We update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
